Today I skedaddled off work early to make up for the hours I put in last week ;)
The reason : It's the last day of Harvey Norman's refrigeration sale!
I went round to Farmers and Noel Leeming first to snap pictures of fridges that I liked + was on sale so I could negotiate better with HN.
Tip: Never, never buy from the first store you walk into without first looking at other stores. You can always come back :)

The major brands I was looking at were
- Westinghouse (pricey)
- Fisher Paykel (known door/seal problems)
- Mitsubishi (unknown)
- Samsung (unknown)
In the end I went for a Mitsubishi 3 door ( fridge, crisper, freezer) cooling unit and started the tedious process of haggling xD

The guy I was dealing with was pretty cool - the original price was $1599. It was on sale at $1186, and as the only model left was the floor model, I haggled some more - apparently down to cost price, at $1106. Having $190 in Credit Card Vouchers, I paid a grand total of $910. Not too shabby for my first fridge ever.
Did I mention that it's the most expensive thing (apart from the house) that I've ever bought in my life? The next in line would be my bed which I bought 4 years ago for $550. :p
